The Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen has been a mess this year, in large part due to injuries. They could swing a trade to reload their bullpen for the final stretch of the season.
The Dodgers bullpen lost Tanner Scott to an injury on Monday night. Scott received a big contract in the offseason, but he was struggling. Between Scott's struggles and injuries to Blake Treinen, Brudar Graterol, Evan Phillips and Michael Kopech, the Dodgers may have already been in the market for bullpen help.
Scott has been inconsistent as the closer, so the Dodgers could be looking for a reliever who can fill that role. CBS Sports' Matt Snyder suggested the Dodgers trade for Jhoan Durán of the Minnesota Twins.
"How about shooting high for Duran? The Twins' fireballer has succeeded as a closer and setup man," wrote Snyder. "He has a 1.94 ERA this season. He's under team control through 2027, too. Yeah, the price would be gigantic for a reliever, but at least he isn't a rental and he is a major needle-mover."
The Dodgers bullpen has a 4.41 ERA this season. That is among the worst in all of baseball. Durán could change the outlook of the bullpen, and bring stability to the closer's role.

The Dodgers have invested too much money in Scott to give up on him, but he could thrive as a setup man for Durán after coming off the injured list. Perhaps some time out of the closer's role could do Scott some good.
