The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the best records in baseball and are getting healthy in the starting rotation. However, they are still showing interest in starting pitchers at the trade deadline.

Tyler Glasnow is back, Shohei Ohtani is continuing his buildup and Blake Snell should return soon. A rotation with those three, Clayton Kershaw and Yoshinobu Yamamoto is one of the best in all of baseball. However, according to MLB insider Jon Morosi, the Dodgers are showing interest in Shane Bieber of the Cleveland Guardians.

"The Dodgers and Guardians have spoken about Shane Bieber, the former AL Cy Young Award winner from Laguna Hills High School," Morosi reported on X.

Bieber has not pitched this season, but he is working his way back. He has made four rehab outings and has a 1.59 ERA in 11 1/3 innings of work. The Dodgers do not really need starting pitchers, but they have always been an aggressive team.

He has a 2.91 ERA in 82 starts since 2020. Bieber won the American League Cy Young Award in 2020. He is also a two-time All-Star, Triple Crown winner and Triple Crown winner. However, he has struggled with injuries in his career.

As the Dodgers get healthier, it would actually make sense for them to trade away some depth in the rotation to upgrade the bullpen or add a left fielder. However, their interest in Bieber shows that they will not pass up on the opportunity to add an elite player. It would be tough to find a spot for him without moving him or someone else to the bullpen.
