Two of the greatest hitters in baseball history share the same last name.
Jose Ramirez and Manny Ramirez are two legends of the game for their own eras and times.
Fittingly, both began their major league careers with Cleveland, although Manny eventually left the then-Indians for the Red Sox, while Jose has stuck with the Guardians for the long haul.
Manny was a right-handed hitter, one of the best to ever do it.
Jose is a dominant switch-hitter with speed that Manny never had.
Together, they've shown baseball fans how to love the sport while not taking it way too seriously.

Is Jose Ramirez related to Manny Ramirez?
No, Jose Ramirez is not related to Manny Ramirez.
They are both from the Dominican Republic, but there's no public information suggesting a possible relation.
They'll just have to settle for being two of the best hitters to ever play their craft for a team in Cleveland.
Manny couldn't quite get over the postseason hump in Cleveland, although then he did in Boston. Maybe Jose can be the one to get Cleveland to the promised land, although the swim this season will be extra tough after a postseason-opening loss to Tarik Skubal.
With a Ramirez in the heart of the order, lots of good things can happen.
