Jose Ramirez is a Cleveland Guardians legend.
Safe to say he's simply a Cleveland legend, too.
On Saturday, Ramirez became the first active athlete in Cleveland to have a street named after him.
Ramirez already has a ballfield named after him, Jose Ramirez Field at Clark Field. And now, Jose Ramirez Way connects the field with Clark Avenue.
Guardians manager Stephen Vogt was among the representation at the ceremony before the Guardians headed to Progressive Field to take on the Texas Rangers at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Ramirez became Cleveland's all-time leader in extra-base hits on Thursday, and he's got a clear path to reaching Cooperstown.
He's got 285 career home runs, which ranks second in franchise history behind Jim Thome (337). He's also second in stolen bases (283 to Kenny Lofton's 452).
Ramirez just went over the 3,000 total bases plateau, joining Earl Averill as the only two Cleveland players to ever get to that mark.
“It's fun to watch,” manager Stephen Vogt told MLB.com. “It's truly a pleasure that we get to all watch him every night and take it for granted because it's impossible to cherish it as much as we do every single day. José Ramírez is one of the best players on the planet, and we get to watch him every day."
It was never a question as to whether Ramirez would be remembered once his career was over. But now there's one more reason to recall one of the greatest to ever do it in Cleveland.
