Red Sox take star pitcher with 'most upside' of anyone in MLB Draft image

The Boston Red Sox were big winners with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.

They took Kyson Witherspoon out of Oklahoma.

MLB Network's Dan O'Dowd said he has the most upside of any pitcher in the draft.

Witherspoon was ranked top-10 on pretty much every pre-draft board.

Boston got him at 15 anyway.

It was a bit of an odd start atop the draft, which allowed Witherspoon to slide.

But the big, athletic, 20-year old righty was plenty good enough for the Red Sox. He has ace potential.
