Craig Counsell will manage a Major League Baseball game for the Chicago Cubs on Sunday.

But then as the multi-day MLB Draft gets underway, he'll get a chance to see if his son is selected.

Brady Counsell is a draft-eligible shortstop out of the University of Kansas, and the son of the Cubs manager.

A 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior, Brady began his college career at Minnesota before ending it with the Jayhawks.

He hit .259 in his final college season while hitting 11 doubles and slugging 12 home runs.

That certainly seems like enough, out of a top conference, to get drafted.

Maybe the Cubs will even be the team that gives Brady the call.

Or one of Craig's former teams could do it, too.

Regardless, it seems like another Counsell is heading for professional baseball soon enough.
