Things haven't gone as planned for some of the most talented rookies in the NFL this season.
It's easy for fantasy football managers to get excited about new faces, and that leads to high draft picks or priority waiver wire claims. But sometimes, players don't immediately deliver on their promise.
TreVeyon Henderson, Travis Hunter and Harold Fannin Jr. fit the mold of that description to varying degrees.
Fannin was a popular waiver pickup early on, but the other two were early-to-mid-round draft picks.
Now, none is producing.

Should I drop TreVeyon Henderson in fantasy?
Ideally, you can still hold Henderson. His talent, explosiveness and pass-catching ability make him a guy who could still break out if given the opportunity.
But right now, even with Antonio Gibson out, and even with Rhamondre Stevenson fumbling, Henderson hasn't gotten enough touches.
And even when he has run, it's been only for 3.6 yards per carry.
He could come back to haunt you if you drop him. But he's certainly hard to start right now, and as bye weeks roll in, he could be dropped to fill your lineup.
Should I drop Travis Hunter in fantasy?
As odd as it feels, dropping Hunter probably won't come back to hurt you too much.
He's coming off a four-catch, 15-yard game in Week 6. The Jaguars haven't figured out how to fully utilize him, and his time spent on defense does detract, at least a bit, from his offensive upside.
The Jags haven't had a prolific passing attack yet, and Brian Thomas Jr. is starting to get his usual share of things. Hunter's upside, for this season, doesn't feel that high anymore.
Should I drop Harold Fannin in fantasy?
It's fair to drop Fannin.
He'll still be usable in a pinch the rest of the season, because the Browns align him all over the place and have him on the field a lot. Dillon Gabriel doesn't seem to mind throwing to his fellow rookie, either.
But Fannin probably doesn't have a ton of 2025 upside in this current Browns offense, especially with David Njoku still around.
Fannin is a fun keeper league target, but he's a less exciting single-season option right now.
