For four weeks, the Buffalo Bills looked like the class of the AFC.
But just two weeks later, the Bills don't even look like the class of the AFC East.
A Monday Night Football loss to the Atlanta Falcons, one in which the Bills' offense never really got off the ground, gives the New England Patriots the lead in the division.
And yeah, there are 11 games left to play. The Bills are 4-2. The sky isn't falling.
But something feels just a bit wrong at the moment.
The Bills can't stop committing penalties. Their wide receivers aren't getting open. Even Josh Allen's scrambles leave a little bit to be desired.

On this night, the Bills played their oddest game of the season. They got gashed by the Falcons on three first-half drives, but then in the second half, Buffalo held Atlanta to three points.
The Allen-led offense would come back, wouldn't it?
Not on this night.
Atlanta's young pressure unit up front pushed Allen just a bit out of his comfort zone, and that was enough to point out the flaws of the Bills.
Without a No. 1 wide receiver, Buffalo couldn't create offense.
The ending was even more depressing. Allen led a drive down the field, down 10 points, just trying to make one last charge.
But then Allen rolled out, got his pass tipped and had it float into the Falcons' arms for a game-clinching interception.
On the Monday night turf in Atlanta, it was the Falcons in victory formation, and the Bills with their hands on their hips in disbelief.
It's a long season, and there's lots of time for the Bills to turn it around. Now they head to a bye week to try to get right.
There's certainly a lot to figure out.
