The Green Bay Packers entered the postseason having successfully navigated a brutal gauntlet of injuries that, for much of the regular season, rendered their wide receiver room a patchwork unit. Early in the year, the offense struggled to find rhythm as young receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson missed significant time, while key target Romeo Doubs dealt with his fair share as well. The constant rotation of injured players meant quarterback Jordan Love rarely had his full complement of weapons available, forcing inconsistent play and relying heavily on the short passing game.

Now, as the Packers prepare for a challenging playoff run, the injury report tells a far more encouraging story: the receiving corps is finally whole. Watson, Doubs, Reed and Matthew Golden were available for the Wild Card round against the Chicago Bears, as Green Bay's offense clicked in the first half. Love threw three first half touchdowns, one to each of his top three receivers.

This surge of restored health provides a massive boost to a team that scraped its way into the playoffs. The presence of these speedy, talented targets gives Love the confidence and tools necessary to stretch the field, apply consistent pressure on opposing secondaries, and ultimately inject the kind of explosive, high-ceiling play that will be essential for Green Bay to surprise contenders and make a deep run.

    MORE 2026 NFL PLAYOFFS:

      1. Christian Watson

      Since coming back from an ACL injury that caused him to miss the start of the season, Watson is playing his best football down the home stretch. In the regular season, the receiver had 35 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns. He added one on Saturday night, the first score of the game for Green Bay.

      He also had a long reception before getting fumbling at the half-yard line, which was recovered by Doubs and later resulted in Doubs' touchdown.

      2. Romeo Doubs

      Doubs led Green Bay with 55 receptions for 724 receiving yards and was tied for first with six touchdowns in the regular season, providing the closest thing to consistency on the Packers offense. He had a deep reception on Saturday night on the Packers' first scoring drive.

      Later in the half, Doubs was wide open for Green Bay's third touchdown of the game.

      3. Jayden Reed

      The second-year receiver out of Michigan State found himself on the injured reserve early in the season after injuring his collarbone in Week 2 against the Commanders. He returned in December, tallying over 30 receiving yards the four games he played.

      He found his way back into the end zone on Saturday night for his second score of the year.

      4. Matthew Golden

      Golden had an underwhelming rookie season, becoming only the second first round draft pick since 2021 to not have a touchdown in his rookie season. But, the rookie out of Texas had a 36-yard reception in the first half, which the Packers later scored on.

      It was his first 20+ yard reception of the season.

      5. Dontayvion Wicks

      Though he's not Green Bay's most reliable receiver, Wicks has had some big moments this season, including a huge touchdown catch on Thanksgiving against the Lions. He had two scores in the regular season.

      No. 13 was unavailable this week against Chicago with a concussion, but expect him to be in the fold against Seattle.

      6. Jakobie Keeney-James

      Keeney-James was recently signed to the active roster from the practice squad and is currently available, serving as an emergency depth option for the playoff run.

      7. Bo Melton

      Melton was recently placed on Injured Reserve (IR) with a knee injury, marking a significant loss of depth and versatility as he was used on offense, defense (cornerback), and special teams.

      8. Savion Williams

      Williams was also placed on Injured Reserve (IR) with a foot injury, eliminating the rookie and third-round pick as a depth option for the remainder of the playoffs. He caught all 10 of his targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season.
