LSU didn’t waste a second establishing control in New Orleans and coasted to a 101-71 win. The Tigers (5-0) opened the night on a mission and never looked back by pushing the pace, jumping passing lanes, and turning every Tulane mistake into instant offense.

Flau’jae Johnson, MiLaysia Fulwiley, and Mikaylah Williams, arguably one of the best backcourts in the nation, set the tone immediately, going on a 13-0 run and building a double-digit lead before Tulane could settle in. By the end of the first quarter, LSU had tripled the Green Wave, 33-10.

From there, the Tigers coasted. Fulwiley, the South Carolina transfer, sliced through the defense on drives, finishing with 20 points and six assists. Johnson added 22 points while controlling the middle of the floor and grabbing rebounds, and Williams delivered timely shot-making to keep Kim Mulkey’s offense humming even as the pace slowed.

The bench kept the momentum alive. Amiya Joyner piled up put-backs and late-game layups, while ZaKiyah Johnson added steady creation. LSU’s depth gradually wore down Tulane’s comeback hopes. Tulane got flashes from Tamiah Robinson, Mecailin Marshall, and Kendall Sneed, but every push was met with a composed LSU answer, whether a Fulwiley burst, a Johnson finish, or a transition strike, keeping the lead comfortably in the 20-30 range all night.

By the fourth quarter, LSU’s starters were on the bench, Joyner added the final touches, and the Tigers crossed the 100-point mark to improve to 5-0 with a wire-to-wire performance. Their average margin of victory in the Tigers first four games sat at 62 points. If there’s a silver lining for Tulane fans, at least they covered that number.
