The update follows Monday night reports from ESPN that Bonner is still "expected" to sign with the Mercury.

"According to sources, DeWanna Bonner is expected to sign soon with the @PhoenixMercury, the team that drafted her in 2009. She won 2 @WNBA titles with Phoenix," Michael Voepel shared via X.

Musa has put in a solid performance for the Mercury this season, and is averaging 3.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10 minutes of play. Until she departed the team, Bonner was averaging 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 21 minutes of play for the Fever.
