The Phoenix Mercury dominated the Chicago Sky Saturday night, shutting down the team 107-86. The Mercury also managed to limit Angel Reese, who frequently racks up double-doubles and earned her first career triple-double last week, to nine points, two rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes — a surprising stat from the young star.

The loss is the 9th of the season for the Sky and sparked heated fan conversations about Coach Tyler Marsh and is plan for Reese and the rest of the team.

While the game was tough for the Sky, the Mercury put in a powerhouse performance and veteran Alyssa Thomas continued a hot streak that has her leading the league in assists per game and total assists — despite having missed several games due to injury.

The Sky will next play the Atlanta Dream Sunday, and the Mercury will have several days off before they face the New York Liberty at home on June 28.
