Megan McConnell, the sister of Indiana Pacers guard TJ McConnell, has signed a rest-of-season contract with the Phoenix Mercury.

McConnell, who graduated from Duquesne this year, was with the Mercury during training camp and played in two preseason games with the team before she was waived.

McConnell will be able to hit the ground running and can play in the Mercury's game against the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday, June 3.

The Mercury are off to the team's strongest start since 2014. The addition of Sataou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas has proven to be a powerful one for the team, who could have struggled after the departure of Brittney Griner (who signed with the Atlanta Dream this year) and the retirement of Diana Taurasi.

The Mercury is currently tied with the Atlanta Dream in third place in the WNBA standings.
