The 2025 WNBA Playoffs have been anything but predictable. Starting Friday, the Aces and Mercury will go head-to-head with a title on the line.
Despite being the No. 2 seed, Las Vegas has had a precarious journey through the postseason. The Aces were pushed the a tiebreaker game in both the first round and semifinals, holding on to defeat the Storm and Fever and secure a spot in the Finals.
The No. 4-ranked Mercury made an impressive push to secure their spot in the title series, defeating the No. 1 seed Minnesota Lynx in four games. Phoenix now looks to return to the franchise's glory days of recent decades, in just its first season post-Diana Taurasi.
