WNBA All-Star Game prize money, explained: Breaking down how much players earn under current CBA image

The WNBA's All-Star Weekend 2025 kicks off on Friday. There will be a three-point contest and skills competition that lead into the All-Star Game on Saturday.

While getting voted to the league's All-Star Game and skills competition is already an honor, it isn't just a morale boost for the players. The WNBA All-Stars are paid for participating in the All-Star Game itself, with an even heftier payday figured in for the MVPs of the game.

This is something that was included in the latest WNBA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). While the All-Stars themselves are financially compensated, it's the sponsor of the Skills competition who will offer a massive prize to the winner, with the WNBA fronting a little stipend.

Here is more on the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game prize money.

WNBA All-Star Game prize money

This year, the CBA stipulates that participants in the WNBA All-Star Game will earn $2,575 for playing in the game. Those who are named the MVP of the game will earn double that for a total of $5,150. These were the same payouts as the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game.

Who won the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game?

The WNBA All-Star Game has changed its format over the years. This year, the game went back to two captains who drafted teams from a pool of players. In 2024, the WNBA faced off against the USWNT, marking a nod to the Olympics, where the U.S. won a gold medal.

Here is a look at all of the WNBA All-Star Game results and the game's MVP.

WNBA All-Star Friday night prize breakdown

There will be two events on Friday Night of WNBA All-Star weekend. The soft drink brand Starry is the sponsor for the 3-Point Contest, while KIA is the sponsor for the WNBA Skills Challenge.

The WNBA will not be paying most of the participants in these events. In order to get prize money, they will have to win the event. The winners of both the 3-Point Contest and the Skills Competition have previously earned an additional $2,575.

While that may not seem like much, Aflac, one of the main sponsors of the overall weekend, has a nice payday in store for the winners. The player who wins the 3-Point Contest and the Skills Competition will receive $60,000 and $50,000, respectively.
