Wings’ Paige Bueckers makes WNBA rookie history with efficient stats only reached once before, by Jennifer Azzi image

Paige Bueckers is special.

Sure, everyone knew that already, but even now in the WNBA, the UConn legend keeps proving how amazing she is.

On Thursday night, Bueckers scored 23 points on an efficient 8-for-11 from the floor (and added five assists).

She already has multiple games this season of 20-plus points and 70% or better shooting.

She's only the second rookie in Dallas Wings history to have two such games in a first year in the league, joining Jennifer Azzi, per StatMuse.

Bueckers has scored double digits in every game she has played in.

She also joined with Aziaha James (28 points, 6 assists) to be the first rookie due to ever go 20-5 together in the same WNBA game.

The stats go on, too. She's the fastest guard to reach 250 career points since 2006. Her 35 points earlier in a game is the most by a rookie this season. She ranks top-10 in the WNBA in points, assists and steals.

Yeah, Paige is special, and she's only just getting started.
