Is Paige Bueckers signing with Curry Brand? 4x NBA champion hints at a potential deal image

In the midst of Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers letting everyone know that she loves “pretty shoes,” she also revealed that her former UConn teammate and best friend, Azzi Fudd, picks out all her shoes before games, including the different colors she wears. A notable NBA player had something to say about it, and not just any player, but a superstar with four NBA championship rings.

The face of the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry, chimed in with an endorsement: “Well....sounds like @currybrand is in your future then 👀,” Curry commented on a post about Bueckers' shoe remarks.

Bueckers already has a shoe deal with Nike, signing an NIL deal in 2023 that made her the first NIL athlete to design and launch a Nike Player Edition basketball sneaker.

Curry Brand, which Curry launched in 2020, is a sub-brand of Under Armour. It was created in partnership with the NBA star and focuses on basketball gear, shoes and community initiatives, while still operating under the Under Armour umbrella. So far, Curry Brand has not signed any WNBA players, which would make Bueckers the first if she joined.

Who knows? Maybe Bueckers could follow in Fudd’s footsteps and make the leap from Nike to Under Armour in the future. Fudd became the first athlete to join Curry Brand through an NIL deal back in 2021.
