Nearly 12,000 fans at Crypto.com Arena, the home of the Los Angeles Sparks, saw an instant classic on Sunday night. The home team, the Los Angeles Sparks, went on to win the game 93-91. The win moved Los Angeles to 15-16 on the season.
The Seattle Storm fell for the fifth straight game, and are now 16-16 on the season, just 1/2 game ahad of the Sparks in the Western Conference Standings.
Seattle was looking to get revenge for a 108-106 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks to start the month. It was the first loss of a four-game losing streak for the Storm.

The big play came late in the game when Dearica Hamby scored a driving layup with 0:05 left in the game, and was fouled. She later made the free-throw, and the Sparks got a stop to seal the deal.

Hamby was one of four players for the Sparks to score double digits. Kelsey Plum led the way with 20 points, while Hamby scored 19. Azura Stevens added 19 and Cameron Brink had 14 in 10 minutes of action.
In the loss, the Storm saw Brittney Sykes have a big game. She scored 27 points. Dominique Malonga came off the bench and had 20 points and 11 rebounds. Skylar Diggins added 17 and Nneka Ogwumike added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
