Kelsey Plum continues to show she is one of the best players in the WNBA. While the game did not end the way her team wanted, it was a great performance from the star guard.
She finished with 25 points, six assists, and three rebounds in the game. She also made 10 of 15 shots from the field, and was 3-out-of-4 from the free throw line. She tied the WNBA record for most games in a season with 20+ points and 5+ assists in a game. She has done it 18 times.

The Los Angeles Sparks trailed by five after one, and 12 at halftime. After a 24-24 third quarter, Los Angeles ran out of time, outscoring the Washington Mystics 21-18 in the final quarter. Washington won the game 95-86.

For Washington, Sonia Citron was the best, with 24 points. Kiki Irafen added 18 points and ripped down 10 rebounds in the game.
The loss for Los Angeles moved them to 16-18 on the season. Washington also moved to 16-18 with the win. Both teams are battling hard for the postseason, as they trail Seattle, which comes into Sunday with a 17-17 mark.
The Sparks are now heading home to host Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wngs in the first of four straight games at home. The next time Los Angeles is on the road is September 1 on the road at Seattle.
For Washington, they will look to win their third straight, as they host the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, and then play at Connecticut on Thursday.
