However, it’s encouraging to see that despite all the unnecessary negativity she receives, Reese also has a strong support system—especially among her teammates. One of her Chicago Sky teammates, Courtney Vandersloot, recently spoke to Sportskeeda about Reese, sharing her thoughts and offering some heartfelt advice.

“I think the biggest thing with Angel is that I don’t think a lot of people can relate—I definitely can’t—to the weight she carries on the day-to-day and the pressure that she deals with from the outside noise and the expectations with herself and how good and great she wants to be.”

She went on to express her unwavering support for Reese: “So for me, I just want her to know that I always have her back. It doesn’t have to be perfect. I’m always going to ride for her.”

She also made it clear that she’ll always remind Reese how important she is to the team—but without adding unnecessary pressure—emphasizing that Reese deserves to enjoy the game she loves.
