Angel Reese makes major news as signature Reebok shoe revealed image

It has been quite the second season for Angel Reese with the Chicago Sky. Tyler Marsh's squad just can’t seem to get over the hump and find consistent wins, but Reese has done nearly everything she can to get them on the right track.

Reese recorded her sixth straight double-double in Tuesday’s loss to the Washington Mystics. The loss dropped the Sky to 5-13 and marked their second straight defeat. For Washington, the win improved their record to 9-10 on the season.

The former NCAA Tournament champion with Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers is now averaging 13.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. During her six-game streak, Reese has grabbed at least 15 rebounds in every contest.

The last time she failed to reach double-digit rebounds was June 21 against the Phoenix Mercury, when she managed just two boards in 21 minutes.

On Wednesday morning, Reese made some major news.

Reebok first mentioned the shoe in June, and now it’s officially on the way. The AR-1 will feature Reese's personal logo on the tongue and come in a two-tone black cherry and pink design.

The shoes, dubbed the "Pretty Gritty" Engine A, reflect her fierce playing style and fashion-forward persona.

When news broke that her signature shoe was nearing release, Reese shared her excitement.

"I'm excited to give fans a glimpse into what's to come in our overall partnership, and we're still just getting started," she said.

According to Just Women Sports, Reese signed with Reebok during her senior year at LSU in 2023. This week's launch marks the WNBA sophomore's first-ever basketball shoe.

The AR-1 will be available on the Reebok website and at select retail locations.
