Angel Reese stands alone on the cover of the NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition.

The popular video game franchise chose just one women's basketball player for the honor, and they chose Angel.

The second-year forward for the Chicago Sky was one of the league's most popular players from the moment she was drafted at No. 7 overall in 2024.

Her rivalry with Iowa to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has helped lift the WNBA's viewership to new heights.

Reese also happens to be the best rebounder in league history, by the numbers.

NBA 2K26 had already named its main cover athlete, the Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is coming off an MVP season and an NBA championship.

Now, the special WNBA Edition cover will have Reese across the front.

Compared to SGA, Reese hasn't accomplished much yet, but she certainly has a bright basketball future ahead of her.

The ability to play as WNBA teams in NBA 2K was a great move in the past few years, and no matter which cover of the game you buy, you'll have that option.

But if you want to commemorate the continued growth of women's sports, you can get a cover with Angel Reese on it. That's pretty cool.
