It really does all lead back to Caitlin Clark.
If you want to follow the path, the former Iowa superstar and current Indiana Fever dynamo is sort of, kind of the reason that University of Miami QB Carson Beck now plays for the Hurricanes and has them in the national title game.
Of course, take this all with a grain of salt. There are more reasons for any decision than just one to do with Clark.
But it's a pretty crazy web.
Clark didn't help Hailey Van Lith want to stay at LSU after outshining her in March.
HVL transferred to TCU. Haley Cavinder planned to play there, but she then chose to return to Miami, where her sister Hanna was, reuniting the twins for their final college season.
Hanna had thought about being done with basketball, but with the chance to play with her twin one more season, they made that happen.
At the time, Beck and Hanna were a couple.
Beck initially entered the NFL Draft out of Georgia, but Miami eventually got him to transfer there instead, with a big NIL payment surely a part of the picture.
And now, Miami is in the championship game.

Sports are the best, and funny, and ironic.
And apparently, all roads lead to Caitlin Clark.
