When A'ja Wilson tumbled to the floor during the second quarter of Tuesday night's game against the Liberty, it was natural to fear the worst surrounding the three-time WNBA MVP.
After she was fouled driving to the rim, Wilson was ruled out for the rest of Las Vegas' showdown with New York, and the Aces' superstar forward confirmed Wednesday that she had undergone an MRI to determine the severity of her right wrist injury.
"We are gonna be alright!" Wilson wrote on Threads.

Wilson has not clarified how much time she will miss, and following Las Vegas' 87-78 loss at Barclays Center, Aces head coach Becky Hammon said that she didn't want to take any risks with Wilson, seeing as her team finds itself in an unusual position in the WNBA standings.
"Err on the side of safety with her," Hammon said. "Big picture, our season is bigger than just this one game so we want to make sure she's not putting herself at any risk of injuring anything or damaging anything."
While the MRI results remain unknown, ESPN's Kendra Andrews has reported that Wilson is officially "questionable" for the Aces' visit to Washington, D.C. to face the Mystics on Thursday night.
It remains to be seen as to whether Wilson will be ready to go against the Mystics and their star rookie Kiki Iriafen. With the 9-10 Aces struggling to gain ground in the playoff race, Wilson will not want to miss much time -- especially after a three-game, concussion-enforced absence last month.
