It was another night to remember for the three-time WNBA Most Valuable Player. A'ja Wilson appears to be heating up after a slow start to the 2025 season.

Wilson was terrific, posting 26 points and 18 rebounds as the Aces went on the road and defeated the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.

After the game, Yahoo Sports highlighted Wilson’s performance, noting that it once again made history:

Wilson played 35 minutes and added seven assists. She also went 10-for-11 from the free-throw line. Over her last five games, Wilson has scored 20 or more points in each outing.

The 28-year-old was selected as the top pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft after playing for Dawn Staley at South Carolina. Wilson helped Las Vegas win back-to-back WNBA titles in 2022 and 2023.

The win for the Aces came after a tough home loss to the Washington Mystics on Thursday. Las Vegas is now 8-8 on the season, while Phoenix dropped to 12-5.

The Aces are off until Thursday when they’ll play the second of five consecutive road games, visiting Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Las Vegas will return home on July 12 to host Golden State.
