Clark had recently been named an All-Star captain and was set to participate in the 3-Point Contest. However, on Thursday, she officially announced she would not be taking the court this weekend.

“I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-Point Contest or the All-Star Game,” Clark said in a statement. “I have to rest my body.”

While she won’t be suiting up, Clark still plans to be part of the festivities at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where the All-Star Game is being held.

“I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action,” she added. “And I’m looking forward to helping Sandy [Brondello] coach our team to a win.”

With the All-Star break underway, attention now turns to Clark’s recovery and when she might return to action for the Fever. There has been no official timetable given, but fans and teammates alike will be hoping for a swift return for one of the WNBA’s biggest stars.
