Is Caitlin Clark playing tonight? Latest news on Fever star's status for Commissioner's Cup final vs. Lynx image

Caitlin Clark's sophomore season has been interrupted by injuries, as the point guard has missed seven of 16 games for the Fever so far.

Most recently, Clark missed Friday's game with a groin issue, her second straight game sitting out with the injury. Clark missed five games earlier in the season with a quad injury after she played in every game in college and in her rookie season.

The Fever's next game is Tuesday night when they take on the Lynx for the Commissioner's Cup title, a bigger game than a typical regular-season contest. Will Clark return to action for the contest? Here's the latest.

Is Caitlin Clark playing today?

Clark has been ruled out for Tuesday's Commissioner's Cup final, the Fever announced.

She was initially listed as questionable after practicing with the team on Sunday, an indication that her availability is heading in the right direction.

"I'm going to be day-to-day from here on out," Clark said after practice. "Doing everything I can to put myself in a position to play the next game."

Clark was not on the court with the Fever during shootaround early Tuesday afternoon, and coach Stephanie White labeled the star a "game-time decision" ahead of the Commissioner's Cup.

Clark has now missed a week of action, which has given her a decent amount of time to recover from her injury.
