Is Caitlin Clark playing today? Latest news on Fever star's status for game vs. Aces image

The Indiana Fever are working to remain afloat without All-Star guard Caitlin Clark, but her total absences have almost eclipsed her number of games played in 2025.

Clark, who was a model of durability throughout college and her rookie season in the WNBA, has appeared in just 13 of Indiana's first 24 games this season. She's been hampered by a quad injury and issues with both her left and right groins.

Most recently, Clark has been held out of action with a right groin injury suffered during a win over the Sun on Tuesday, July 15. In the time since, Clark has missed two games and both WNBA All-Star events she was initially scheduled to participate in.

Is Caitlin Clark playing today?

Clark's status for Thursday's game has not been determined.

Fever head coach Stephanie White said Clark met with a doctor in New York on Tuesday, July 22. Clark was ruled out of Tuesday's game and her status was again described as "day-to-day."

What is Caitlin Clark's injury?

Clark has a right groin injury, the Fever confirmed on July 16.

She sustained the groin injury late in Indiana's win over Connecticut on July 15. With under a minute remaining in the game, Clark found a cutting Kelsey Mitchell for a backdoor layup. On the pass, Clark appeared to tweak her groin and came up in evident pain.
