Caitlin Clark will join several WNBA players as the player's union meets with league officials in Indianapolis on Thursday, July 17. The conversation between both parties is likely to be tense, as the WNBA faces the expiration of its current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) at the end of October.

Clark's teammate Sophie Cunningham spoke to the IndyStar about the negotiations this week. "It's going to be a meeting that might get, you know, you're [not] always going to see the prettiest sides of people, but that's what it's all about," she said. "We deserve more than what they're giving us, and we're going to stand on it."
Players are expected to advocate for higher salaries, increased benefits, and increased revenue sharing. This is the second in-person meeting since negotiations began.
"As players, there's just so much that we need to get done and to discuss, and hopefully (WNBA commissioner) Cathy (Engelbert) is going to be open, because we're being serious," Cunningham added. "We're selling out these huge stadiums. We deserve more, and they got to put their money where their mouth is. If they want us to show up and play games, they need to pay us more."
