Despite garnering a second successive All-Star nod, Caitlin Clark did not participate in this year's festivities at home in Indianapolis. Due to an unfortunate right groin tweak, Clark sat out the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and could not go in the 3-Point Contest either -- a shootout that New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu won for the second time in three years.
Ionescu and the Liberty are first up for the Indiana Fever coming out of the All-Star break. After losing 98-77 in New York in the final game before the break on July 16, Indiana will be keen on exacting some revenge and consolidating its position as a top-six team in the WNBA.

But a lot hinges on Clark's availability. The star guard hasn't quite been herself in her second professional season, having missed 10 games due to repeated soft tissue injuries -- and Fever head coach Stephanie White is playing it safe.
"I don't expect her to be available on Tuesday," White told reporters in her first media availability after the All-Star Game. "So we're just going to continue to take it one day at a time and let her get her evaluations early this week."
The earliest Clark can return then would be Thursday, when the Fever return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to host the Las Vegas Aces.
