Two of the top high school wrestlers in the country have made their college decision official, as Bo Bassett and Melvin Miller have committed to Virginia Tech.
Bassett and Miller are currently part of the Bishop McCort High School team, as Bassett is a senior and Miller, his younger brother, is a junior.

They have been two of the most sought-after recruits in the country, with that especially heating up after Bassett decommitted from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Miller had Iowa on his short list, but removed them after the decision by his older brother.

"Officially a Hokie," Bassett posted on social media. "Time to work. I am committing to Virginia Tech. The next chapter begins in Hokie Nation. I can't wait to chase down National, World and Olympic titles in Blacksburg."
Bo Bassett, Melvin Miller both have incredible resumes
Bassett is a two-time state champion in Pennsylvania and won the U17 world title in 2021 to go along with claiming Fargo gold. Miller also won a title at Fargo this past summer and is a two-time PIAA champion.
Throughout his high school career, Bassett is 126-0 with 76 technical falls and 38 pins. Miller owns a high school record of 106-4 with 43 technical falls and 21 falls.
Virginia Tech is coached by Tony Roble and went 9-2 this past year, placing 11th at the NCAA Championships with three All-Americans.
Bishop McCort is one of the top programs in the country at the high school level. The lineup includes Bassett, Miller, Jax Forrest, Penn State commit Sam Herring, Iowa commit Owen McMullen and sophomore Keegan Bassett, a 2025 world champion.
