District play commenced for many Oklahoma high school football teams last week.

With the start of the proverbial second season, many key standouts had top-notch performances to help their respective teams get a leg up in the district title race.

Here’s a look at the top performers from Week 4. Also, readers can now vote on who they think should be the Oklahoma Player of the Week. Vote as many times as you like until 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, and the winner will be announced next week.

 

Top performances from Week 4 in Oklahoma high school football

(This list is in alphabetical order)

Kase Adams, Sallisaw: The Black Diamonds’ quarterback completed 11-of-13 passes for 153 yards and two TDs, and also added 93 yards rushing on 15 carries with a score in Sallisaw’s 41-29 win against Hilldale.

Alex Brant, Roland: Brant completed six passes - four going for TDs along with 192 yards as the Rangers picked up their first win of the season, downing Okmulgee, 37-0.

Damon Davis, Oklahoma City Southeast: A junior defensive lineman, Davis finished with eight total tackles and had three sacks as the Spartans improved to 5-0 with a 19-8 win against Midwest City.

Kason Delgado, Muskogee: The Roughers’ junior signal-caller threw for 355 yards on 20-of-25 passing and three TDs in Muskogee’s 55-29 win at Ponca City.

Rebel Doiron, Little Axe: In a 62-8 win against Lexington, Doiron rushed for 156 yards on nine carries and scored four TDs.

Kane Foreman, Pawhuska: Foreman completed 15-of-18 passes for 258 yards and five TDs as the Huskies moved to 5-0 with a 62-8 win against Oklahoma Union.

Landon Gatson, Choctaw: The Yellowjackets’ quarterback completed 14-of-23 passes for 243 yards and four TDs in Choctaw’s 40-29 win against Piedmont.

Jayden Hall, Owasso: A senior tailback, Hall carried the ball 35 times for 207 yards and scored two TDs as the Rams won at Broken Arrow, 28-14.

Nick Holmes, Del City: Holmes made two interceptions - one returning it 44 yards for a TD and the other setting up a game-winning field goal from Jordan Ealy in the closing seconds as the Eagles rallied for a 24-21 win against Collinsville.

Ty Jerrell, Pocola: Jerrell caught six passes for exactly 100 yards and found the end zone three times as the Indians rolled past Warner, 50-0.

Anthony Keys, Oklahoma City Millwood: Keys, a junior, rushed for 107 yards and five TDs in the Falcons’ 68-0 win against Blackwell. But that’s not all, as Keys also returned a punt for a TD, caught a pass for another score and also intercepted a pass on defense.

Cash Keys, Fort Gibson: A junior receiver/defensive back, Keys had 205 yards of total offense and three TDs, threw a 57-yard pass, recorded 12 tackles, picked off two passes and forced a fumble, and even averaged 42.5 yards on four punts in the Tigers’ 47-25 win against Wagoner.

Byron Mason, Norman North: Mason rushed for 146 yards on 22 carries and caught six passes for 63 yards while scoring five total TDs as the Timberwolves edged Edmond Memorial in overtime, 49-48.

Tate McClendon, Shawnee: McClendon, a senior tailback, rushed for 109 yards on 14 carries with two TDs in his team’s 62-0 win against Tulsa East Central.

Maddax Mobly, Sulphur: Mobly accounted for 251 yards of total offense as he rushed for 171 yards and two TDs while adding 80 yards of receiving with a TD in the Bulldogs’ 42-20 win against Perkins-Tryon. Mobly also had 16 tackles and an interception on defense.

Jayson Moll, Bixby: The Spartans’ senior tailback rushed for 231 yards on 23 carries and scored two TDs as Bixby remained undefeated after winning last week’s showdown at Jenks, 66-35.

Skyler Moorman, Tulsa Union: Moorman completed 15-of-22 passes for 149 yards and two TDs and also added 48 yards rushing on 12 carries as the Redhawks defeated Edmond Santa Fe, 16-6, to pick up their first win of the season.

Carter Nathman, Cascia Hall: Nathman, a senior receiver, hauled in seven receptions for 128 yards and three scores as the Commandos prevailed against Inola, 34-7.

Spencer Perry, Poteau: Perry rushed for 165 yards on 26 carries and a TD as the Pirates moved to 4-0 after edging Stilwell, 31-30.

Jeymon Reed, Altus: A freshman quarterback, Reed completed 32-of-44 passes for 438 yards and six TDs and also had a rushing TD in the Bulldogs’ 56-22 win against El Reno.

Shawn Rounsaville Jr., Tuttle: Rounsaville rushed for 170 yards on 20 carries and found the end zone four times as the Tigers moved to 4-0 with a 51-0 win against Ardmore.

Landon Stephens, Coweta: Stephens kicked three field goals, including a long of 33 yards, as the Tigers remained undefeated with a 22-15 win at McAlester.

Roman Tucker, Cushing: Tucker, a senior quarterback/defensive back, completed 14-of-20 passes for 422 yards and five TDs, and also registered seven tackles while breaking up a pass in the Tigers’ 41-7 win against Skiatook.

Hunter White, Wyandotte: White threw for 276 yards, added 83 yards on the ground and had five total TDs as Wyandotte improved to 4-0 after a 38-14 win against Colcord.

Deshawn Wilson, Muldrow: Wilson rushed for 167 yards on 17 carries and a TD, and also returned a kickoff 78 yards for another score as the Bulldogs edged Eufaula, 28-27, to go to 4-0 on the season.
