Many high school football programs across Arkansas were able to kick off conference play last week.
For some teams, several players helped those respective squads earn a win in the start of the proverbial “second season.”
Here’s a look at the top performers in “The Natural State” from Week 4. Also, readers can now vote on who they think should be the Arkansas Player of the Week. Vote as many times as you like until 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, and the winner will be announced next week.

Coleson Ashcraft, Vilonia: Ashcraft threw for 172 yards and three TDs, completing 9-of-15 passes, and also added 62 yards and a TD rushing as the Eagles downed Clarksville, 48-0.
Colt Barrett, Poyen: Barrett completed 12-of-21 passes for 181 yards and two TDs and added 67 yards rushing on 15 carries and two more scores in the Indians’ 34-20 win against England.
Jace Bohannan, Lake Hamilton: Bohannan completed 19-of-25 passes for 275 yards and two TDs while adding 56 yards and three TDs on the ground in the Wolves’ 53-20 win against Siloam Springs.
Andrew Burton, Mansfield: Burton rushed for 170 yards on nine carries and scored three TDs in the undefeated Tigers’ 52-6 win against Hackett.
Keon Chaffin Jr., Dumas: Chaffin recorded 13 tackles, two for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the Bobcats’ 14-7 win against Lakeside.
Hayden Christenberry, Van Buren: Christenberry rushed for 190 yards on 30 carries and scored three TDs as the Pointers outlasted Russellville, 49-42.
Trevion Greer, Newport: Greer had nine carries for 122 yards and found the end zone three times in the Greyhounds’ 59-6 win against Piggott.
Tayquan Hall, Stuttgart: Hall had exactly 100 yards rushing and scored two TDs in the Ricebirds’ 49-28 win against Helena-West Helena.
Hudson Harris, Gravette: Harris completed 8-of-10 passes for 221 yards and two TDs as the Lions downed Lincoln, 52-0.
Josh Honea, Paris: The Eagles’ quarterback completed 15-of-20 passes for 220 yards and four TDs as Paris downed Danville, 35-8.
Jacoby Hopson, Nashville: Hopson completed 9-of-12 passes for 114 yards and added 126 yards rushing on 22 carries as the Scrappers edged defending Class 4A champion Arkadelphia, 24-23.
Gavin Jones, Harrison: A junior, Jones completed 10-of-14 passes for 212 yards and two TDs while adding 65 yards rushing on 11 carries with a TD in the Goblins’ 41-13 win against Alma.
Kemp Keller, Little Rock Christian: The senior quarterback completed 15-of-23 passes for 271 yards and six TDs and also added a rushing TD in the Warriors’ 56-31 win against Cabot.
Nikel Lewis, Hamburg: In a 55-20 win against Monticello, the Lions’ senior tailback rushed for 357 yards on 32 carries and scored six TDs.
Wilder Lherisse, Springdale: Lherisse rushed for 163 yards on 18 carries and had two TDs as the Bulldogs took the 7A-West Conference opener against Rogers Heritage, winning 33-7.
Carter Little, Charleston: A senior quarterback, Little completed 6-of-8 passes for 134 yards and three TDs as the Tigers posted a 45-7 win against West Fork.
Jamarcis Morning, Hot Springs: Morning caught five passes for 174 yards and scored two TDs as the Trojans held off Little Rock Parkview, 23-20.
Ben Napier, Elkins: Napier was 7-of-9 passing for 117 yards and five TDs as the Elks downed Gentry, 49-6.
Aron Orgil, Pulaski Academy: A sophomore quarterback, Orgil completed 34-of-52 passes for 382 yards and six TDs in the Bruins’ win against North Little Rock.
Brantlee Phillips, Mountain Home: The Bombers’ QB1 was 15-of-23 passing for 266 yards and two TDs while he added a rushing TD in the Bombers’ 39-21 win against Fort Smith Southside.
Wesley Raggio, Greenwood: Raggio rushed for 127 yards on 20 carries and two TDs and also caught three passes for 18 yards in the undefeated Bulldogs’ 35-24 win against Shiloh Christian.
Arzell Rulford, Trumann: Rulford ran for 251 yards on 11 carries and had four TDs in Trumann’s 44-20 win against Jonesboro Westside.
KD Shelby, Bryant: Shelby passed for 159 yards and three TDs - all coming in the first half - as the Hornets downed Little Rock Central, 64-0.
Reece Simpson, Pulaski Robinson: Simpson was 9-of-11 passing for 292 yards and five TDs as the Senators won at Watson Chapel, 58-0.
John Skolarski, Ozark: Skolarski rushed for 130 yards and three TDs on just seven carries as the Hillbillies defeated Waldron, 57-6.
Cole Slepecki, Bentonville: Slepecki completed 12-of-17 passes for 234 yards and five TDs as the Tigers remained unbeaten after a 38-7 win against Springdale Har-Ber.
Isaiah Stephens, Sheridan: Stephens had 133 yards of total offense and three TDs, alll coming in the first half, of the Yellowjackets’ 64-20 win against West Memphis.
Elijah Sugg, Prairie Grove: Sugg rushed for 189 yards on 12 carries while finding the end zone three times as the Tigers got their first win of the season, beating Green Forest 50-7.
Tre Thompson, Bentonville West: Thompson was 13-of-21 passing for 171 yards and a TD while adding 106 yards rushing on 10 carries with two scores as the Wolverines downed Fayetteville, 48-14.
Carter Wallace, Valley View: Wallace rushed for 159 yards on 16 carries and had three TDs in the Blazers’ 35-0 win against Paragould.
