There were some top standouts, from seniors to underclassmen, on the opening week of Arkansas high school football.
Here’s a look at the top individual performances from Zero Week in “The Natural State.”

Bishop Allen, Hot Springs: The Trojans’ quarterback threw for seven touchdowns and added a rushing TD as Hot Springs rolled past West Memphis, 56-20.
Colt Barrett, Poyen: The Indians’ quarterback completed 20-of-28 passes for 226 yards and two TDs in Poyen’s 28-16 win against Mountain Pine.
Andrew Burton, Mansfield: Burton rushed for 158 yards on 24 carries and scored two TDs as the Tigers held off Bismarck, 34-28.
Braxton Canada, Greenwood: Canada caught four passes for 107 yards and scored two TDs as the Bulldogs held off Bentonville West, 35-31.
Jarvis Drayer, England: Drayer registered seven tackles and also had a pick-six in the Lions’ 33-14 win against Bigelow.
Matt Garner, Hackett: The Hornets’ QB threw for 311 yards and five TDs while adding a rushing TD in his team’s 39-13 win against Danville.
Korri Graham, Dewitt: Graham rushed for 255 yards on 21 carries, averaging 12.1 yards, and also had three TDs in the Dragons’ 38-15 win against Central Arkansas Christian.
Trevion Greer, Newport: Greer had 247 yards rushing and scored three TDs, one an 88-yard dash to the house and another covering 61 yards, in the Greyhounds’ 38-6 win against Marked Tree.
Tyler Hampton, Sylvan Hills: The senior quarterback completed 21-of-37 passes for 327 yards and three TDs while adding 172 yards on 27 carries and four more TDs in the Bears’ 55-54 win against Maumelle, ending a 20-game losing streak for the Bears.
Baylor Haulk, Carlisle: Haulk passed for 194 yards and three TDs to help power the Bison past Lake Village, 27-6.
Hank Hendrix, Fayetteville: In his first game as the Bulldogs’ quarterback after transferring from Texas in the offseason, Hendrix threw for 471 yards on 21-of-35 passing along with four TDs in a 66-24 win against Cabot.
Dakorey Larry, Junction City: Larry had two TD passes as the Dragons ended a six-game losing streak to Camden Harmony Grove with a 36-0 win.
Dax McMellon, Sheridan: The Yellowjackets’ senior signal-caller was 26-of-40 passing for 457 yards and five TDs as Sheridan downed White Hall, 58-28.
Barrett Miller, Mountain Home: Miller had five total TDs in the Bombers’ 49-30 win against West Plains (Mo.). He rushed for 149 yards on 14 carries with three TDs, had 49 yards receiving with a TD and also returned a kickoff 97 yards to the house.
Malachi Momphery, Little Rock Christian: Momphery recorded 13.5 total tackles, two tackles for loss, intercepted a pass and forced a fumble in the Warriors’ 35-14 win against El Dorado.
Cain Price, Stuttgart: The Ricebirds’ quarterback accounted for 203 yards of total offense and had a passing TD while running for another score in his team’s 24-21 win against Lonoke.
Jeff Regan, Rogers: Regan was 15-of-26 passing for 156 yards and two TDs and also added a rushing TD and even caught a 50-yard TD pass in the Mounties’ 41-3 win against North Little Rock.
Brady Richards, Farmington: A senior receiver, Richards hauled in 13 catches for 199 yards and two TDs in the Cardinals’ 43-42 win against Edmond (Okla.) North.
Austin Riggs, Van Buren: A senior receiver, Riggs caught three passes - two of those going for TDs - along with 116 yards as the Pointers rallied to defeat Alma, 40-29, in the “Battle of the Bone.”
Kollin Robinson, Bryant: Robinson caught seven passes for 108 yards and two TDs as the Hornets defeated rival Benton, 40-10, in the two teams’ annual “Salt Bowl.”
Conrad Schmitz, Bentonville: Schmitz caught two first-quarter TD passes, covering 41 and 33 yards, as the Tigers built a 14-0 lead and never looked back in a 28-14 win at Tulsa (Okla.) Union.
John Skolarski, Ozark: A sophomore, Skolarski rushed for 159 yards on 12 carries with two TDs, caught a TD pass and even threw a 73-yard pass for another score in the Hillbillies’ 46-14 win against Clarksville.
Trey Stewart, Little Rock Central: A junior tailback, Stewart rushed for 148 yards on 22 carries with a TD in the Tigers’ 26-7 win against Springdale.
Dalton Stockton, Prescott: Stockton had two TD passes and added a TD run in the Curley Wolves’ 45-8 win against Crossett.
Wesley Tapp, Conway: The Wampus Cat quarterback completed 13-of-26 passes for 407 yards and three TDs as Conway won a scoring fest against Jonesboro, 68-37. Tapp also had a pair of TD runs.
Angel Villezcas, Magnet Cove: Villezcas had three rushing TDs, including a 60-yarder, and also scored three two-point conversions in his team’s 39-0 win against Gurdon.
Carter Wallace, Valley View: Wallace rushed for 156 yards on 16 carries and had four TDs in the Blazers’ 35-18 win against Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Malachi Warren, Fort Smith Southside: Warren, a transfer from crosstown rival Northside, rushed for 77 yards and two TDs against his former team as the Mavericks won their third straight “Battle of Rogers Avenue” against the Grizzlies with a 27-7 win.
Deuce Williams, Pulaski Robinson: The senior had three total touchdowns, one on a rushing play, one on a kickoff return and the other a pick-six as the Senators rolled past Pulaski Academy, 59-14, ending an 11-game losing streak against the Bruins.
Wally Wolcott, Hot Springs Lakeside: The Rams’ quarterback was a perfect 14-of-14 in passing while throwing for 304 yards and four TDs as Lakeside defeated Lake Hamilton, 56-20.
