Week 1 in Oklahoma high school football featured several key performances, both on offense and defense along with special teams.

Here’s a look at those top individual performances from Week 1.

Top performances from Week 1 in Oklahoma high school football

Jaedan Adams, Stillwater: A sophomore tailback, Adams rushed for 248 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Pioneers’ 41-15 win at Tulsa Union.

Kaleb Blackwolf, Del City: Blackwolf scored five TDs as the Eagles downed Tulsa Booker T. Washington, 38-7. He had three TD runs and also returned two punts back for scores.

Kale Brakefield, Sulphur: The Bulldogs’ quarterback was 11-of-18 passing for 170 yards and two TDs as Sulphur ended Washington’s 45-game winning streak, prevailing 28-19.

Dylan Burton, Tishomingo: Burton ran for two TDs, including a 10-yarder in overtime, and also had a 50-yard jaunt to set up another score as the Indians snapped a 12-game losing streak with a 36-34 OT win against Allen.

Jordan Deroin, Tulsa Hale: A quarterback, Deroin ran for two TDs and also threw a 52-yard pass for another score in the Rangers’ 23-6 win against Tulsa East Central. Hale is now 2-0 for the first time in seven years.

Aiden Estep, Cascia Hall: Estep, a junior linebacker, recorded eight tackles and also returned a fumble 87 yards for a TD in the Commandos’ 21-14 win at defending Class A-I champion Rejoice Christian.

Max Harland, Berryhill: The Chiefs’ quarterback completed 22-of-25 passes for 253 yards and two TDs, including a go-ahead score with less than four minutes left, as Berryhill held off Fort Gibson, 31-30.

Jackson Harris, Sallisaw: A senior tailback, Harris rushed for 97 yards on 14 carries and had three TDs as the Black Diamonds posted a 27-0 win against Stigler.

Malakhy Harris, Hominy: A sophomore running back, Harris found the end zone four times as the Bucks defeated rival Cleveland, 41-16, their fifth straight win in the “Arkansas River Rivalry.” Harris had three rushing TDs and caught a 15-yard pass for another score.

Brock Heilmann, Coweta: Heilmann, a junior tailback, rushed for 158 yards on 22 carries and also had a receiving TD in the Tigers’ 21-7 win against Wagoner.

Austin Hickman, Fairview: Hickman kicked a 36-yard field goal as time ran out, lifting the Yellowjackets to a 23-21 win against Kingston.

Greydon Howell, Broken Bow: The Savages’ junior QB passed for 170 yards and two TDs and also rushed for 111 yards on 13 carries and two TDs, including a game-winning 24-yard run with less than six minutes left in the Savages’ 26-23 win against Durant.

Kaydin Jones, Jenks: Jones rushed for 169 yards and had three TDs as the Trojans rallied to defeat Owasso, 31-21. The Trojans’ senior tailback and Oklahoma State commit is now 8 yards away from becoming the school’s all-time leading rusher, passing his father, Kejuan Jones.

Cale McPeek, Pawnee: McPeek, a senior tailback, tallied 290 yards and four TDs as the Black Bears upended defending Class A-II champion Woodland, 34-20.

Jaden O’Neal, Mustang: It was quite a debut for O’Neal, the transfer from California and a Florida State commit. He completed 14-of-20 passes for 221 yards and four TDs in the Broncos’ 44-20 win against rival Yukon.

Jermauree Palmer, Muldrow: A senior receiver, Palmer caught four passes for 125 yards and scored three TDs in the Bulldogs’ 62-18 win against Sequoyah County arch-rival Roland.

Caron Richardson, Ada: The Cougars’ tailback was a workhorse in his team’s 41-31 win against Ardmore. He carried the ball 37 times and produced 286 yards while scoring four TDs.

Scott Rigby, Collinsville: Rigby, a senior tailback, rushed for 202 yards on 18 carries and scored four TDs in the Cardinals’ 34-0 win at Oologah.

Aryn Seamans, Panama: A quarterback, Seamans accounted for six total TDs in the Razorbacks’ 44-30 win at Spiro. He rushed for 231 yards on 15 carries and four TDs, including one covering 85 yards, completed 6-of-8 passes for 52 yards with a TD and also returned an interception 79 yards to the house.

Kellen Smith, Cashion: The Wildcats’ QB passed for 239 yards and four TDs in his team’s 27-26 win at Velma-Alma.

Jaydon Spencer, Norman: A defensive lineman, Spencer registered eight tackles, two for loss, three sacks, including a late safety, nine quarterback hurries and a pass breakup as the Tigers won the “Crosstown Clash” against Norman North, 19-13, spoiling the Timberwolves’ first-ever game in their new stadium.

Sam Tecla, Poteau: The Pirates’ senior QB was 10-of-15 passing for 166 yards and three TDs, and he also rushed for 77 yards on 17 carries in the Pirates’ 21-14 win at McAlester.

CJ Turnbull, Putnam City: A senior quarterback who transferred from Oklahoma City Millwood, Turnbull threw for four TDs and ran for another as the Pirates rolled past rival Putnam City West, 75-0.

Noah Wald, Weatherford: Wald rushed for 153 yards on 32 carries and scored all four TDs as the Eagles edged Kingfisher, 28-27. Wald also threw for 91 yards.

CJ Wright, Lincoln Christian: Wright, a sophomore tailback, ran for 184 yards on 18 carries and scored two total TDs in the Bulldogs’ 35-6 win against Heritage Hall.

Tyler Wright, Bixby: A senior defensive back, Wright intercepted three passes, returning two of those back for TDs, in the Spartans’ 56-7 win at Sand Springs. One of his pick-sixes covered 100 yards.
