Beginning this season in Texas, the University Interscholastic League (UIL) high school football championship games will have a new broadcast partner.
Victory+, which is a free, ad-supported streaming service based in Dallas, has secured a five-year agreement to broadcast the UIL football title games.
As part of the agreement, Victory+ will produce and distribute the 12 UIL championship games taking place this December at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The streaming service may also broadcast up to 20 additional UIL playoff football contests.

Victory+ is available for free across major connected TV and streaming devices including Roku, Android, Amazon Fire TV and Google TV. In addition, games can also be streamed on web browsers at victoryplus.com.
With the acquisition of the UIL football title games by Victory+, it marks the first time all of the UIL football championships will be available for free. In the previous three decades, the games were aired on cable by regional sports network FanDuel Sports Network Southwest and its previous incarnations as Bally Sports Southwest, Fox Sports Southwest and Home Sports Entertainment.
Texas media entity Dave Campbell’s Texas Sports, which publishes the popular Dave Campbell’s Texas Football preseason magazine, helped broker the partnership between Victory+ and the UIL.
“The UIL is excited to work with Victory+ through this agreement facilitated by Dave Campbell’s Texas Sports,” UIL Executive Director Jamey Harrison said in a statement. “To allow fans to watch these games for free was a big motivator for us.
“The availability challenges of the past should be resolved with this new deal. This collaboration ensures our championship events and playoff games are showcased at the highest level and accessible to fans, families and schools throughout Texas.”
Victory+ also streams games of the MLB's Texas Rangers and NHL's Dallas Stars, though the Rangers' games are accessed through a payment plan.
