National Week 3 high school football schedule and scores: Mt. Carmel upsets No. 35 Archbishop Moeller, 49-42 image

The National Week 3 schedule features a couple of Top 25 matchups, including our game of the week featuring No. 14 Thompson [AL] at No. 16 Grayson [GA}.

The National Week 3 high school football schedule features some great games, and the action continued Friday night.

The No. 14 Thompson [Alabaster, AL] Warriors had many opportunities to beat No. 7 Grayson [Loganville, GA] on the road, but turnovers in the host Rams' end of the field ended up costing the Warriors late. The game went to overtime just like the 2024 contest, and for the second year in a row, Grayson emerged with the win, 24-23.

Last year, the Rams won 15-14 with a 2-point conversion in extra time, but this time they got the win by stopping Thompson's 2-point conversion attempt.

On Thursday, a trio of teams ranked in our weekly composite rankings played in the Battle at the Beach in Ocean City, New Jersey. In an afternoon contest in that event, the No. 13 Bergen Catholic [Oradell, NJ] Crusaders blocked a punt for a touchdown late to rally for a 22-21 win over the No. 18 East St. Louis [IL] Flyers.

Then in the evening finale, the No. 5 IMG Academy [Bradenton, FL] Ascenders overcame a stubborn unranked Winslow Township [Atco, NJ] Eagles' squad for a 35-14 win.
