In September, Broken Arrow (Okla.) Handed Mustang a non-district defeat, with the Tigers prevailing 21-14.
Friday night, the Broncos return to Broken Arrow, this time not only seeking revenge but also determined to earn a spot in the Class 6A-I state semifinals next week. Mustang faces Broken Arrow in the 6A-I quarterfinals in a rematch of that regular season game in September.

A footnote to that regular-season meeting was that Mustang quarterback Jaden O’Neal - a Florida State commit - did not play in that game but is expected to in Friday’s rematch.
Mustang comes into Friday’s game at 8-3 overall, having defeated Norman North in an opening-round game last week. This season, O’Neal - a move-in from California - has thrown for nearly 2,300 yards and 27 TDs.
As for Broken Arrow, the Tigers come in at 8-2 overall. They drew an opening-round bye last week.

- Broken Arrow got a safety in the closing seconds to ice the win. Tigers will advance to next week's 6A-I semifinals, where they will face three-time defending 6A-I state champion Bixby.

- Broken Arrow with a nice time-consuming drive, and the Tigers are inside the Mustang 10 in the final minute of play.

- TOUCHDOWN MUSTANG. Broncos finally break through and get on the board as Jaden O'Neal throws a TD pass to Gabriel Osborne from 22 yards out, and they cut BA's lead in half. (Broken Arrow, 14-7 | 2:03, 2nd)
- Broken Arrow holds on defense once again. Mustang goes for it on fourth down inside the 5 and throws a pass to the end zone, but it goes incomplete with five minutes left in the half.
- Mustang is on the move, and is inside the Broken Arrow 10 near the midway point of the quarter.
- Broken Arrow stopped Mustang on downs near the Tigers' 20 in the final seconds of the opening quarter. Tigers with the ball as we start the second.
FIRST QUARTER
