The quarterback class this season features a four star commit, along with several players who started as an underclassmen.
This list introduces the top 25 quarterbacks to watch in Oklahoma on Friday nights. The list is filled with much top-tier talent, with some young underclassmen who were called upon in big moments last season.
Jaden O’Neal, Mustang - Senior (Florida State commit)
O’Neal is a four star and a current Florida State commit after decommitting from Oklahoma in June. He transfers in from Harbor City (Calif.) and most certainly will help the Broncos compete for the Class 6A-1 State Championship. During his junior year on the west coast, he threw 16 touchdowns for 1,798 yards.
Easton Webb, Sand Springs - Senior
Webb is an experienced veteran and will be a four year starter. In three years with the Sandites, he has thrown 60 touchdowns and 6,027 yards, with completing 417 passes. He looks to lead Sand Springs to a Gold Ball in a loaded Class 6A-2 class.
Carson Kirby, Bixby - Senior
Kirby led the Spartans to their seventh straight State Championship, and looks to lead them to an eighth straight State Championship. Last season, Kirby scored 39 touchdowns, with 34 passing and five rushing. Kirby collected 2976 yards through the air, and rushed for 596 yards.
Drew Frankenfield, Owasso - Junior
As a sophomore, Frankenfield led the Rams to a second place finish in Class 6A-1 and a 12-1 record. Despite being one play away from dethroning Bixby in the title game, Frankenfield tallied 2667 passing yards and 309 rushing yards. He also threw 36 touchdowns and completed 76% of his passes.
Acyn Hansen, Jones - Senior
Hansen threw 29 touchdowns and for 2,881 yards as a junior. He is a dual threat player, and runs the ball really well. Last season, he rushed for nine touchdowns and 851 yards.
Carter Ricke, Tulsa Lincoln Christian - Senior
Ricke led LC to its second straight State Championship and a 14-0 record. He threw 43 touchdowns and for 2,879 yards. Ricke also completed 75% of his passes, and looks to lead the Bulldogs to another State Championship.
Kason Delgado, Muskogee - Junior
Delgado transfers in from Edmond Santa Fe where he saw playing time as an underclassman As a freshman in 2023, he was 4-0 as a starter and threw six touchdowns. As a sophomore last season, he threw for 1,297 yards.
Barrett Mullen, Tulsa Cascia Hall - Senior
Mullen passed for 2,377 yards and 37 touchdowns last year as a junior. He leads most of the passing records at Tulsa Cascia Hall, with 63 career touchdowns and 5,522 total passing yards.
Skyler Moorman, Tulsa Union - Senior
Moorman transferred in from Collinsville, and started two years for the Cardinals. He threw for 1,204 yards and 15 touchdowns. He caught the injury bug last season, but is primed to help Union return to its glory days.
Jeramiah Ssettimba, Broken Arrow - Senior
During his junior season with the Tigers, he threw 30 touchdowns and for 2,716 yards. He also scored seven rushing touchdowns and threw a 67 percent passing completion. Ssettimba is ready to lead the Tigers to a deep playoff run.
Tye Littlebird, Thomas-Fay-Custer - Senior
Littlebird is a four year starter and has thrown 58 total touchdowns with 5,778 total passing yards. Last season, he threw 21 touchdowns and 1,671 yards and put those numbers up missing two games.
Greydon Howell, Broken Bow - Junior
Howell showed he can play as a sophomore last season, throwing 19 touchdowns for 1,994 yards and a 59 percent passing rate. He also made plays on his feet, with 16 rushing touchdowns and 1,052 rushing yards.
Cruz Campbell, Tuttle - Senior
Led the Tigers to a 13-1 record and the Class 4A State Runners up. He threw 40 touchdowns for 2931 yards and recorded a passing percentage of 63 percent.
CJ Turnbull, Putnam City Original - Senior
Turnbull scored 20 touchdowns for the Pirates as a junior and threw 1,559 yards. He also ran for 586 yards while missing three games. Turnbull is ready for his 2025 debut and looks to help PCO make some noise in Class 6A-2.
Creed Barrett, Sophomore - Washington
Barrett was the first freshman to start at Washington since Jace Brewer back in 1994. Barrett led the Warriors to their third straight State Championship and a 14-0 record and he threw 38 touchdowns and for 3315 yards.
Levi Brooks, Senior - Tulsa Booker T. Washington
Levi is emerging into a leader who has huge expectations this year. Last season, he threw 1,132 yards, five touchdowns and also completed 86 passes. he led the Hornets to a District Championship and into the quarterfinals.
Braden Ward, Senior - Pryor
Ward played a huge role in the Tigers success, and nearly made the semifinals, but lost to Newcastle 38-37 in the quarterfinals. As a junior Ward threw 2,797 yards and 35 touchdowns, along with 11 rushing touchdowns.
Promised Johnson, Junior - Bristow
Johnson is a two-way and was the punter for the Purple Pirates. As a sophomore last season, he converted several key fourth down plays and averaged 40 yards a punt. He looks to lead the Purple Pirates to a deep playoff run in Class 3A.
Roman Tucker, Senior - Cushing
Tucker threw 26 touchdowns last season and threw for 2460 yards with a 67 percent passing completion rate. On the ground, he scored 12 touchdowns and ran for 654 yards. Tucker is excited for a potential district championship and much more in Class 4A.
Isaiah Drake, Senior - Weleetka
Led the Outlaws to the Class C State Championship and a 14-0 record. He threw 47 touchdown passes and for 3,347 yards. He also rushed for 1,121 on 121 carries. Drake is hopeful his team will repeat as champions.
Braddox Broughton, Junior - Sapulpa
As a sophomore, he threw 18 touchdowns for 1,500 yards. He played a major role in helping the Chieftains win its first playoff game since 2005, and looks to win many more games in the postseason.
Taven Hayes, Junior - Southmoore
Hayes as a sophomore and helped the Sabercats make the playoffs for the first time since 2020. Hayes threw for 2,200 yards and a 68 percent passing completion rate.
Kane Foreman, Pawhuska - Senior
He is a four year starter and has thrown 80 touchdowns, along with 6,200 yards. He has four small college offers and is the team captain heading into 2025.
Jhett Birdwell, Kingfisher - Senior
Birdwell is a three year starter and has thrown for 2712 yards and 26 touchdowns since his sophomore season. Coach Reagan Roof, a veteran coach said this is one of the best quarterbacks he has ever coached, and is excited to compete in a loaded Class 3A.
Dax Owens, Davis - Junior
As a sophomore, Owens led the Wolves to its first State Championship since 2013, when they beat Vian. Owens threw nine touchdowns and scored 17 rushing touchdowns, averaging 9.5 yards a carry. He looks to accomplish the same goals this season.
