A season ago, Denton Guyer pulled off an upset win against an Aledo team that won state the year before.
Now, the rematch between both teams is at hand on Friday night. Guyer travels to face Aledo, seeking to defeat the Bearcats for the second straight year after winning, 35-30, in Denton last season.
The Wildcats went on to finish 10-4 and reached the quarterfinals of the 6A Division II playoffs, while Aledo went 12-2, winning 12 straight since that opening-week loss before falling to Denton Ryan in the quarterfinals of the 5A Division I playoffs
