Here are this week's candidates for The Sporting News Northern California high school football Player of the Week for Week Seven (Oct. 6-12). Our NorCal Player of the Week voting is open to players from the CIF's Northern, North Coast, Central, Central Coast, Sac-Joaquin, Oakland, and San Francisco Sections. Read up on the candidates below and vote as many times as you'd like before 11:59 p.m. Sunday. The results will be announced in the following days.

Meet the candidates for Week 7 NorCal Player of the Week

Dylan Amos, Twelve Bridges: Amos registered two interceptions and three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in a 49-24 victory against Placer.

Titus Andrus, Pleasant Valley: Andrus ran for 190 yards and a touchdown, made a 17-yard catch, and recorded two tackles including one for loss in a 24-12 win over Red Bluff.

Jaxon Bell, Liberty (Brentwood): Bell ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns and made two catches for 48 yards and a touchdown as the Lions crushed Deer Valley 50-7.

Max Bringgold, Sutter: Bringgold had four carries for 67 yards and a touchdown to go with five catches for 84 yards and two touchdowns in a 50-0 thrashing of Rio Linda.

Adonyae Brown, Archbishop Riordan: Brown rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns with two catches for 36 yards in a 54-0 beatdown of St. Ignatius.

Julian Bruno, Grant Union: Bruno recorded a pick-six, 13 tackles, eight solo tackles, and two tackles for loss in a 38-3 rout of West Park.

Wes Burford, Oakdale: Burford ran for 238 yards and three touchdowns and recorded eight tackles and two TFLs as the Mustangs smoked Patterson 56-14.

Jimmie Burk, Redwood (Visalia): Burk ran for 165 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-13 victory over Monache.

Ja'Khari Burrell, Central Valley Christian: Burrell ran for 144 yards, two touchdowns, and a two-point conversion to help the Cavaliers take down Kingsburg 21-20.

Gabe Casanovas, St. Vincent de Paul: Casanovas completed 16 of 18 passes (88.9%) for 276 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers and ran for a touchdown as St. Vincent destroyed Santa Rosa 63-0.

Mason Caturegli, St. Vincent de Paul: Caturegli ran for touchdowns on his only two carries and took a kickoff return to the house as the Mustangs smashed Santa Rosa 63-0.

Brody Cole, Inderkum: Cole completed 16 of 17 passes (94.1%) for 249 yards and three touchdowns with a rushing touchdown in a 50-20 victory against Bella Vista.

Peyton Coleman, Kerman: Coleman went for three sacks and a forced fumble in a 49-14 victory against Reedley.

James Curoso, Clovis: Curoso ran for 191 yards and two touchdowns and added 10 tackles and two tackles for loss in a 45-7 rout of Clovis North.

Jace Demacabalin, Kennedy (Delano): Demacabalin did all he could in a 55-54 loss to Wasco with 367 yards and six touchdowns rushing.

Jelani Dippel, Central East: In three quarters of action in a 50-20 victory over Clovis East, Dippel completed 25 of 34 passes (73.5%) for 426 yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions to go with 62 yards and one touchdown rushing.

Grayson Gaines, St. Joseph (Santa Maria): Gaines ran for 209 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-6 demolition of Paso Robles.

David Garcia, Palma: Garcia ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns on just four carries in a 42-14 rout of Aptos.

Salvador Guerrero, Santa Teresa: Guerrero threw for 250 yards and six touchdowns without an interception on 14-18 completion (77.8%) to lead the Saints to a 49-35 victory over Live Oak (Morgan Hill).

Bayon Harris, Central East: Harris made six catches for 126 yards and three touchdowns in a 50-20 victory against Clovis East.

Elias Haynes, Downey (Modesto): Haynes rushed for 230 yards and a touchdown, had two catches for 17 yards, and made five tackles (one for loss) in a 28-0 win against Pitman.

Austin Jorge, Pierce: Jorge had a stat line you don't often see to help Pierce blow out Willows 42-0. He completed six of nine passes for 99 yards and three touchdowns, ran for a touchdown, and made two interceptions including a pick-six.

Nikko Juarez, Manteca: Juarez ran for 165 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries as the Buffaloes rolled to a 63-24 win over Mountain House.

Jhadis Luckey, Clayton Valley Charter: Luckey turned just 11 carries into 302 yards and five touchdowns as the Ugly Eagles pounded Las Lomas 63-7.

Ekiah McLemore, Valley Christian (San Jose): McLemore had 12 carries for 192 yards and three touchdowns in a 64-0 annihilation of Bellarmine.

Jonathan Medina, Lincoln (San Jose): Medina ran for 179 yards and two touchdowns to power the Lions to a 35-25 upset of Branham.

Josiah Melendez, Woodcreek: Melendez completed 10 of 15 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns with no picks and ran six times for 108 yards and a touchdown to guide Woodcreek to a 45-14 win versus Vista del Lago (Folsom).

Levi Putnam, Redding Christian: Putnam ran for 174 yards and three touchdowns as Redding Christian blew out Trinity 54-7.

Cameron Saunders, Valley Christian (San Jose): Saunders went for 2.5 sacks and recovered two fumbles for one touchdown in a 64-0 stomping of Bellarmine.

Mariyon Sloan, Shafter: Sloan had 139 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries plus three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown as the Generals pummeled Delano 59-7. 

Brandon Smith, Central East: Smith ran for 137 yards on nine carries and had eight tackles, seven solo tackles, and a pick in a 50-20 win against Clovis East.

Mekai Smith, Balboa: Smith helped lead the Buccaneers to a 50-0 blowout of Lowell with 178 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries, an 18-yard reception, and a sack.

Dowan Stephens, Lassen: Stephens ran for 165 yards and four touchdowns as Lassen cruised past Anderson 43-6.

Kordel Strane, Cardinal Newman: Strane had his second two-interception game of the season plus eight tackles and two catches for 31 yards to help the Cardinals to a 35-20 win over Windsor.

Kayden Strong, Hamilton (Hamilton): Strong had a strong night not only under center but in fact in all three phases to lead a 63-14 rout of Los Molinos. He completed 10 of 13 passes (76.9%) for 188 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, ran five times for 156 yards and three touchdowns, defected two passes on defense, and returned a kickoff to the end zone.

Francis Taamu, Edison (Stockton): Taamu helped lead the Vikings' defensive effort with three sacks in a 19-14 win against Lincoln (Stockton).

Andrew Takapautolo, Serra (San Mateo): Takapautolo rumbled for 152 yards and two touchdowns to help the Padres to a 34-14 win against Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep.

Malakai Taufoou, Serra (San Mateo): Taufoou snatched a pair of interceptions in a 34-14 victory against Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep.

Braylen Thomas, Hanford: Thomas caught four passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns to help the Bullpups to a 35-32 win over Tulare Union.

Daniel Torres, Woodside: Torres grabbed two picks and scored a rushing touchdown in a 31-0 rout of Hillsdale.

Justin Turner, King's Academy: Turner led the Knights with 15 tackles, seven solo tackles, 4.5 TFLs, one sack, and a 62-yard interception-return touchdown in a 47-7 dismantling of Burlingame.

Trevor van der Pyl, Menlo School: van der Pyl had five catches for 140 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-7 rout of Menlo-Atherton.

BJ Veasey, Bakersfield: Veasey took a pair of interceptions to the house in a 50-7 blowout of Bakersfield Centennial.

Emilio Vierra, Chico: Vierra grabbed two interceptions in a 52-7 drubbing of Enterprise.

Mikey Washington, Lincoln (San Francisco): Washington erupted for 300 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries in a 43-6 rout of Galileo.

Carlos Young, Clovis: Young racked up eight catches for 107 yards and three touchdowns, one tackle for loss, four pass break-ups, and two interceptions for 72 total return yards in a 45-7 blowout of Clovis North.
