The second week (Week One) of California high school football featured signature performances from some of the state's biggest stars and notable breakout performances from up-and-comers.

Isaiah Arriaza, Damien: Arriaza was basically unstoppable on Friday in a 34-31 upset of JSerra, completing 28 of 44 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns and running for two touchdowns as well. One of his rushing scores was a game-winning dive across the goal line with three seconds left.
Connor Bow, Rocklin: Bow had four catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns to lift Rocklin past Bishop Manogue (NV) 28-23.
EJ Coleman, Folsom: The junior ATH prospect had a breakout performance on defense to help Folsom upend Serra (San Mateo) 56-44. Coleman had team-highs of 14 tackles, six solo tackles, a pick-six, and a blocked field goal.
Luke Fahey, Mission Viejo: Fahey was impeccable in a 58-14 demolition of St. Paul. He completed 23 of 26 passes (88.5%) for 375 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions, and he also ran for a TD.
Gavin Gutierrez, Servite: Gutierrez had a career-high of 163 rushing yards and 180 yards of offense to lift Servite to a 56-35 win over Murrieta Valley.
Jeovanni Henley, Serra (San Mateo): Henley balled out to keep Serra close in a 56-44 loss to Folsom. He ran for two touchdowns, recorded a pick-six, and even had two sacks.
Derrick Johnson II, Murrieta Valley: The Oklahoma-bound cornerback stuffed the stat sheet against Servite despite a 56-35 loss. Johnson had seven catches for 179 yards and three touchdowns, two pass break-ups, and a fumble recovery.
Jordan Johnson, Thousand Oaks: Johnson had a breakout performance to help Thousand Oaks beat Ventura 38-13. He ran 19 times for 167 yards and a touchdown and made two catches for 41 yards and another score.

Parker "PJ" Johnson, Cathedral Catholic: Johnson had two touchdown catches and a kickoff return touchdown in a 35-7 rout of Saint Francis (Mountain View). He totaled 216 all-purpose yards and added four tackles.
Taylor Lee, Pacifica (Oxnard): Lee was impeccable as the Tritons obliterated rival Oxnard 62-0. He completed 12 of 14 passes for three touchdowns and ran five times for 45 yards and two more scores.
Ryder Lyons, Folsom: It was a vintage Lyons performance as the 5-star BYU commit led Folsom to a key 56-44 win over Serra (San Mateo). He completed 24 of 37 passes for 389 yards and four touchdowns and added 67 yards and three touchdowns with his legs.

Kale Murphy, Servite: The junior transfer from Mission Viejo had his breakout performance as a Friar to lead Servite to a 56-35 victory against Murrieta Valley. He threw for 227 yards, four touchdowns to four different receivers, and zero interceptions.
Judge Nash, Archbishop Riordan: The Harvard commit had a breakout performance with five catches for 77 yards and three touchdowns to help Riordan beat McClymonds 41-18.
Eric Osorio, Damien: Osorio continued his breakout season with 13 catches for 213 yards and a touchdown as Damien knocked off JSerra 34-31.
Jameson Powell, Folsom: The Mississippi-bound wideout dominated in a 56-44 win over Serra (San Mateo), catching nine passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns.
Jackson Taylor, Thousand Oaks: The Boise State commit completed 15 of 20 passes for three touchdowns, 318 yards, and no interceptions as Thousand Oaks beat Ventura 38-13.
Star Thomas, Orange: Thomas stuffed the stat sheet to lead Orange past Laguna Hills 46-43 in a whopping quintuple overtime spectacle. He threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions and ran 18 times for 196 yards and two more TDs.
Isaiah Trujillo, Yorba Linda: Trujillo ran for all three of the Mustangs' touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, in a 21-17 victory over Edison (Huntington Beach).
Ca'ron "Prime" Williams, Santa Margarita: Williams owned the first half to help Santa Margarita take down Corona Centennial 33-27 in overtime. He recorded two interceptions including a pick-six and made an emphatic tackle for loss.
