The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies amassed 632 yards of total offense and survived a wild shootout in a thrilling 55-49 homecoming victory over No. 22 Capital to earn The Sporting News Idaho Team of the Week honors.

Rocky Mountain has been waiting for a moment like this all season long.

Facing a stubborn Capital team that refused to go away on their home field Friday night, the second-ranked Grizzlies delivered an offensive masterpiece that showcased their championship potential. Their 55-49 victory in a game featuring 1,084 combined yards didn't just maintain their perfect record – it proved they can win when forced into a track meet against quality opposition.

The Grizzlies needed every single one of their explosive plays as Capital matched them score for score deep into the fourth quarter. Most impressively, they found a way to make crucial stops when the game was on the line, preventing what could have been a devastating upset loss on homecoming night.

The victory was highlighted by junior Rasean Jones' historic performance – 347 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns that will be talked about at the school for years to come. But it was the complete team effort that ultimately made the difference in preserving their undefeated season.
