Even with a loss on the resume, there is no doubting Millard South is the top Nebraska high school football team in Class A.

In the latest coaches' rankings for the state, Millard South remained No. 1. They were dealt a forfeit loss for breaking Nebraska state rules, but posted a convincing win on the field. Behind them are Omaha Westside, Elkhorn South, Omaha North and Creighton Prep.

The other No. 1 ranked teams by classification include Elkhorn North (B), Wahoo (C-1), Bishop Neumann (C-2), Shelby-Rising City (Eight Player-1), Central Valley (Eight Player-2) and Stuart (Six-Player).
