Marion Local plays in the OHSAA Division VII state final against the Hillsdale Falcons on Friday, December 6, 2024. The Flyers have the nation's longest active win streak at 66 games.

Our list of active 20-game win streaks includes 22 teams as we head into National Week 4.

The nation's No. 1 Mater Dei [Santa Ana, CA] Monarchs joined the list two weeks ago with their season-opening 26-23 win over the St. Thomas Aquinas [Fort Lauderdale, FL] Raiders. The Monarchs were scheduled to go for No. 21 last weekend when their game with the Bishop Montgomery [Torrance, CA] Knights was canceled early in the week.

Bishop Montgomery decided to forfeit due to the fact they did not have enough players to safely field a team after a number of their players were suspended after a fight in their previous game at the St. Louis [Honolulu, HI] Crusaders.

Tri-County Academy joins the list of teams on 20-game win streaks

The Tri-County Academy [Flora, MS] Rebels opened the 2025 season with a 46-0 win over the St. Aloysius [Vicksburg, MS] Flashes last Friday.

Tri-County Academy plays at the 3A level in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools, and the Rebels are the two-time defending MAIS Class 4A state champions. They started their current streak on October 6, 2023, in a 45-0 win over the Clinton [MS] Christian Academy Warriors.

Their loss the previous week came against the Taylorsville [MS] Tartars, a Class 1A semifinalist that year in Mississippi's MHSAA state organization. They haven't actually lost to an MAIS opponent since the Class 4A state championship game against the St. Joseph [Greenville, MS] Fighting Irish on November 17, 2022.

Their win in last year's MAIS Class 4A title game capped an undefeated 13-0 season. Tri-County beat the Bowling Green [Franklinton, LA] Buccaneers for the second straight year for the title, winning 27-3 last year and 26-13 in 2023.

Streak Busters: See which teams saw their major streaks come to an end last weekend

The Marion Local [Maria Stein, OH] Flyers continue to lead the way with the nation's longest active win streak. The Flyers are 2-0 early in the 2025 season, raising their total to 66 consecutive wins as they pursue their fifth straight undefeated season. They'll visit the St. Henry [OH] Redskins this weekend, a 2-0 team that will be taking their shot at history to knock the Flyers off their perch.
