Mission Viejo rolled in the second half after going into halftime tied 10-10 to defeat arch rival San Clemente 34-16 on Friday.

Despite getting outplayed in the second half, the Tritons maintained their fight and their focus, and they had an inkling of life with 4:42 left in the game when second-string quarterback Preston Beck threw a short touchdown to Shane Kiley. Down 27-16, San Clemente opted for the two-point conversion but was denied.
