A pair of new high school football teams entered The Sporting News Midwest High School Football Top 25 Rankings this week in Hays out of Kansas and Nazareth Academy from Illinois.

Hays earned a win over previously-ranked Derby, 22-21, and now gets Choctaw in Kansas high school football action this week. Nazareth Academy, meanwhile, downed Morgan Park, 33-6, to improve to 2-0.
Nazareth Academy will have quite the challenge this week, as they take on No. 4 Mt. Carmel in Illinois high school football.
East St. Louis and Loyola Academy, both out of Illinois, remained ranked No. 1 and No. 2 this week. East St. Louis was scheduled to play Gadsden County, but the game was canceled. Loyola Academy had the week off.
