Form held for all but one top 25 team in Week 7 of the Texas high school football season.
Humble Summer Creek, ranked No. 20 last week, suffered a 42-28 loss to Houston C.E. King, knocking the Bulldogs out of the countdown.
Celina, ranked No. 11 last week, got perhaps the biggest win of any team in the countdown last week, handing Sulphur Springs its first loss of the season, 38-14. In the process, the Bobcats extended their state-best winning streak to 23 straight games.
Two of our ranked and undefeated teams — Lake Travis and Dripping Springs — square off on Friday night in Dripping Springs.
Here are our new weekly rankings:
No. 1 Southlake Carroll Dragons (7-0, 5-0)
Next Game: 10/17/25, Justin Northwest, 7 p.m.
Last Game: 10/9/25, Southlake Carroll 63, Northwest Eaton 7
W/L Streak: 7 wins
Previous ranking: 1
Head coach Riley Dodge picked up his 100th career win as Southlake Carroll throttled Northwest Eaton, 63-7, to stay perfect on the season. The Dragons have put up their biggest point totals of the year in consecutive games after scoring 63 on Keller the previous week. Carroll continuing to get better each week is a scary proposition.
No. 2 Allen Eagles (6-0, 4-0)
Next Game: 10/17/25, Plano West, 7 p.m.
Last Game: 10/10/25, Allen 62, Princeton 14
W/L Streak: 6 wins
Previous ranking: 3
How dominant has Allen been in the 2025 football season? The Eagles are just seven points away from scoring 300 more points than their opponents. Think about that for a second. Allen has scored 334 points and given up 41. Following this week’s home game against Plano West, the Eagles play at No. 7 Prosper.
No. 3 Richmond Randle Lions (6-0, 3-0)
Next Game: 10/17/25, Baytown Lee, 7 p.m.
Last Game: 10/10/25, Richmond Randle 25, Texas City 7
W/L Streak: 22 wins

Randle’s 22nd straight win wasn’t a thing of beauty, but the Lions still came away with an 18-point District 9-5A Division II victory over Texas City. Landen Williams-Callis rushed for 183 yards, but he was held without a touchdown for the first time this season. Despite that, the junior running back has 1,388 rushing yards and 21 TD’s on the season for Randle.
