No. 26 Corner Canyon will taker on Lone Peak Thursday afternoon in Utah's UHSAA Class 6A state championship game.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 20 — Weston Briggs was a one-man wrecking crew in the second half, scoring three touchdowns to help the No. 26 Corner Canyon [Draper, UT] Chargers win a third consecutive Utah UHSAA Class 6A state title.

The Chargers trailed 17-14 at the half and briefly fell behind by a score of 20-14 when the Lone Peak [Highland, UT] Knights added a field goal on its first drive of the second half. That's when Briggs, who also scored a touchdown in the first half, took over. The senior running back ended up running for 171 yards, but his three second-half trips to the end zone proved to be the difference on the scoreboard as the Chargers added to their legacy as one of Utah's all-time great championship programs.

Corner Canyon finished the season 12-1 while Lone Peak will head into the offseason with an 8-5 record after their second straight loss to the Chargers in the title game.
