CONCORD, California, Aug. 29 — The De La Salle [Concord, CA] scored a late touchdown to beat the Lakeland [FL] Dreadnaughts, 10-6.
The visiting Dreadnaughts finished 13-1 a year ago in Florida's FHSAA Class 5A ranks. They opened the 2025 season a week ago with a 31-21 win over the Auburndale [FL] Bloodhounds.
De La Salle, meanwhile, is one of California's top all-time top programs, and the owner of the longest winning streak in high school football history at 151 games between 1992 and 2004. The Spartans will be kicking off the 2025 season.
The game is scheduled for 10:15 p.m. EST (7:15 PST local).
